Estimate what your family would pay

Every school is required to publish a net price calculator. It asks about your family's finances and returns an estimate for you specifically, which is worth more than any average on this page. Your school counselor and the college's financial aid office can also help.

Scholarships and merit aid

Miami does not publish a rigid automatic GPA/SAT scale. Students are automatically considered for merit scholarships from the Common App with no separate application, but awards are decided through a holistic review of the transcript (Miami recalculates a weighted 4.0 GPA) rather than a fixed formula. Because Miami is test-optional and doesn't require scores for most scholarships, GPA/rigor carries more weight than test scores in merit decisions. Renewal requires a 3.0 college GPA.
